Quick update fixing some of the most pressing issues reported with 5.0.
I highly recommend you update to this one asap.
Noteworthy changes: Lots of extra options for sky auto adjustment, fixes for getting stuck on loading screen, next/prev item buttons not working, land edit not working, HQ DoF making a first return. I sadly couldn't yet fully finish the front blur toggle, while it is implemented it does not properly refresh the shader yet it seems, it was more important getting this pushed out as more and more people were failing on login inventory creation...
Still having a little texture issue ... It's a delayed glitch

DeleteI am still experiencing issues logging into the viewer on an account with a large inventory. This being said thank you for all you do, I really appreciate your viewer its the best for photos.

DeleteWhere exactly? during 50-70%? where your inventory skeleton is created or later during 90% and onward where the Viewer is waiting for your outfit to load?
DeleteHi there, OP from this thread here. The first few times I tried it would only ever get 55% of the way through and it would get stuck on importing library categories. I did manage to appear to get logged in, however it said it couldn't load any outfits. I logged into Firestorm on an alt and couldn't see my main account which was logged into Black Dragon. I tried logging in 1 more time after this and the viewer froze and had to be shut down.
DeleteGetting stuck on importing libraries should no longer happen in 5.0.1, especially not library since its very small and the same for everyone, going through my 40k inventory (with 2200 categories) takes less than a second before the viewer is done with it and goes into the next part, unless you have millions of categories (folders) or you are infinitely unlucky to trigger whatever weird refresh bug it is that some people had in the first few refreshes it is unlikely that you should ever get stuck again. From all videos i've seen about this issue the Viewer gets stuck somewhere in the 1000 categories, that was with more than 40 refresh updates per item, so we're talking ~40k refreshes average before the bug occured, now it only refreshes like once or twice per 100 items.

DeleteWell that explains why you get stuck.
Delete5.0.1 doesn't launch because you didn't properly uninstall 4.3.2 completely before installing 5.0.1. Cache, Settings, the Viewer, everything needs to be completely removed, no leftovers or they will cause 5.0.1 to crash.
I got a problem where when I pick my shadows to be HD they still look low rez and fuzzy!

Deletewell like i said have you checked if something is blocking it, non-functional camera controls are caused by HUDs or other scripts taking control over it

ReplyDeleteIts actually was back after a relog or two. Not sure what caused it but its back! I use that feature ALOT. :)
