POSING FOR EVERYONE GUYS POSING FOR EVERYONE! Just kindly request permissions from someone, have them grant said permissions and you are good to go!
Oh yea there's also all the other features that were unlocked for Collision Volumes and Attachment Bones now... and more icons... more icons are important.
I like your approach to the whole "posing others" thing. You have precedent in using customised IMs to negotiate permissions and allow the functionality because that's how the RLV protocols work and LL have signed off on those. And, like your approach, it depends on the user choosing to run a compatible viewer. If LL try to say you can't do it that way, they'll be on quite shaky ground.
ReplyDeleteDoes that mean that RLV is back in Black Dragon?
DeleteThank yoooooooooooooooooooooooooouuuuuuu
ReplyDeleteThanks for your amazing work. I am here to say that I am having problem with the poser option "Reset Rotation''. When I try to use it the viewer crashes and close. PS: I did clean reinstall.
ReplyDeleteDownload 5.4.2. It was fixed there.
DeleteYes, I downloaded it and everything is fine now. Big thanks, Niran!
Deletecan you do a whitelist instead of pose request every single time so that it'll saves them time incase they went afk.
ReplyDeleteThere's several problems with that.
DeleteA) Linden Labs would be highly against this, as its a safety issue. We already have these issues with much less permanent things such as animation permissions. And people are outraged at experiences that whitelist permanently.
B) Whitelisting would require saving a list of people somewhere locally, a list that could be manipulated and thus people could enter everyone's names/ID's and give themselves permissions of everyone. LL would be super against this.
C) The current implementation is temporary and is meant as a bridge until we get this in an official capacity, it's also temporary because whether you have permissions is saved into the person itself, so whenever the Viewer loses sight of a person, it loses track of the permission automatically. This is a limitation of how code works. I could make the permission list a global thing and keep track of permissions past an avatar's lifetime but once again this would be something LL might not like at all.
So for now it will stay like this. You only need to request once anyway (unless you/they teleport away or disconnect/crash). Technically you don't even need to request, they can directly give you permissions too. Any person on any Viewer can in fact.
Hi Niran! Can you tell me if is there a way to make the poser control balls slower? That is, is there a way to make the poser control balls move the avatar more subtly?
ReplyDeleteControl balls? You mean the onscreen edit rotation tools on the bone itself? Not that i know of, but i'm also planning to add something that a lot of other programs like Blender do to help with that, the sliders can already do that. For precision movement you want to use the sliders anyway, that's what they are for after all.
DeleteHold Shift and/or Ctrl and roll your mouse scroll (middle wheel) while cursor above the sliders. This way you have more control over them!
DeleteThank you soo much!!
DeleteIs the Chromatic Aberration back in this version or planned to return in a next version?
ReplyDeleteIt's not back yet, currently there are other things planned.
DeleteHey Niran
ReplyDeleteI know ''derender'' option is under ''Dragon'' drop down menu. But, any chance you someday put this option into the right-click menu drop for easy quick acess?
