Black Dragon is MY Viewer, i decide which feature i want to add and which to remove, i share this Viewer to show the world that user base size is not important, i do rate quality by effort, thought and love put into the project, not some rough estimated numbers. I consider feature requests only if i you can name proper valid reasons i can agree on. It is my (unpaid) time i'm putting into this project, i'm not here to cater to every Joe's desires.

Seriously?

I mean, seriously? 44 spam comments?

the worst of it, this fake account is named NiranV Dean, causing my own comments to be marked as "Spam"...

44 Comments about all sorts of gay fantasies someone is having (i most likely know who's doing it anyway). Is this really necessary? Someone must be REALLY bored to do this nearly every day, with every post i write.

  1. *face-palm* Ugh, these are the people who truly have no lives.

  2. I would suggest to deactivate the Name/URL-Field so the Spammer couldn't use that to fake their Names to yours. also i would suggest to somehow set your Name as one the users couldn't use.

  3. I tried to report this person but the ID they are using seems to have NO way to actually report someone. The sad part is that if you read the comments, they obviously can't speak/type english properly.

So it is rather odd that whoever it is obviously has very little in their life, and feels the need to somehow try and insult you. I thought it rather amusing that absolutely no-one bothered to respond to the troll.

I hope you find a way to remove them

  4. unfortunately the world is full of retard without any capability in real life they only possibility to do something is to bother others.

  5. Wow, this is just silly - and that's putting it kindly. I'm thankful for open comments because I don't want to make another account just to comment. Hehe, I already have a billion accounts for a billion things. Thanks again for not sucking, Niran ;)

  6. At least there is one thing that you do Niran, and that is code from scratch and add stuff yourself. I am sorry for the idiots and so on, but Kudos to you. You don't owe anyone anything really because you make the Viewer for yourself and for us to share and use. For all my ability to assemble aready made dode into a Viewer, I have never been able to code one myself. So this is a thumbs up positive, keep doing what you are doing and remember, haters will always hate lol

    Furry's rock also :xD

    1. Writing from scratch as of "starting with Linden Default Viewer (empty/template Viewer)"

  7. Keep doing what you are doing as no one seems to understand how hard it is to code a viewer from scratch, its so hard to do on your own as it is, and for the time and what you have to put up with after coding it nobody will ever be happy, haters gonna hate always. But kudos for you from doing it pretty much from scratch, Furry's rock also :xD

    <3 You Niran x

  9. Niran,
Those comments say a lot more about the retard that posted them than they do about you. There is always an asshat in every crowd. Just remember the many, many people that love you and love your work.

  10. Keep it up Niran. I've been holding onto Nirans Viewer 3.5.0 (2692) Which has been really stable for me but I can tell that some of the rendering is starting to screw up on it (likely due to LL) so I am probably downloading the newest revision of Black Dragon Viewer superstar 12.0 (or whatever we're calling your new viewer) tomorrow.

I look forward to see what you've done. I don't look forward to getting it the way I like my viewers. I am also worried about this "30 weeks" thing. I like your viewer too much to go back to other crappy viewers.

  11. where can I comment to give you feed back and Ideas?, also has avatars being de rendered because of to much processing or what ever been discussed will there be a way to set your own cap, because most of my friends don't show up

  12. Gah! I was wondering what happened to Niran's Viewer.

As for Black Dragon, how stable is it right now? My girl absolutely fell in love with how you made it, and it seemed to have a lot more artful delivery than the bulk of the viewers out there. (she specifically mentioned how it handles sound much better, but obviously it looks so visually more impactful than anything else out there)

And as for the spammers, fuck em. They are just gnats of the Internet

  13. I do have one question, where can we put bug reports for Black Dragon?, I've come across something and it could just be my viewer. However don't really wish to put it on here, due to well other things.

  14. yes but firestorm is slow on big machine and need lot of fix to be fast as catznip or Niran's work (wich is also more video friendly)

  15. I am not sure where else to post these comments. Does everyone else who uses the latest viewer by Niran have full functionality except me?
I have multiple problems with the inventory options to begin with. The "sort by date" or "sort by name" does not work and neither does the "worn" option. I am still confused with opening the "open or local chat" function. I have posted a couple of times previously but don't see any resolutions or fixes so cannot use the viewer on an everyday basis which is a shame because the graphics are awesome.

    Thank you, Tweed.

  16. Latest Black Dragon is currently heavily bugged, have some patience, im working again.

  17. Materials seems to be a lot buggy, even LL is still trying to figure them out, as Ssa/b code it seems Ll is being releasing some updates on its code, i truly wish you could release a version of old niran's with those updates only as is still (and i did try all the last releases of all tpv's) by far, the most reliable and the one that works better on any region (to compare, catnip 8.1 takes much more time to rezz on a ssa region then niran), be for me or my soulmate and the one that delivers still the best fps and graphics!

    1. You don't seem to understand that Niran's is no longer being developed, it's done and also outdated code wise as per Niran has said.

There is bugs/issues not only with BD (It's a beta and as Niran has posted BD is bugged and Niran is working on it), also SSA/B is LL not Niran, hence maybe yes Niran can work their magic on BD but not on server side stuff.

In time BD will be as good if not better than Niran's but it requires patience, for those who were around for the start of Niran's Viewer it was exactly the same.

So far it's a mixed bag, some say Niran's works fine for them and BD doesn't work very well. Others will say Niran's doesn't work and BD does. From my own point of view, BD works fine for me, and maybe I just got lucky. I haven't rechecked Niran but haven't seen any issues with it.

So, BD isn't perfect as it's a beta but it works, and the FPS and graphics are just as good without the other stuff which is coming.

  18. I'm starting to get really fed up with Firestorm's work. Everything is so freaking slow and half of the viewer doesn't freaking work. The only viewer that I ever had any luck with to get working is Niran's Viewer. But how do I make it run smoothly on my computer without too much lag and how do I make my avi look optimized in windlight, sometimes one prim is brighter than the other, how do I fix that?

    ReplyDelete

    1. The whole lag issue is to do with which sim your in, your settings, and your system itself.

Niran's Viewer is not being developed any more, it's done and being replaced by Black Dragon.

As for prims being lighter on some than others, that could be your settings within the viewer, a bug bought on by the fact that Niran's Viewer is outdated, possibly a graphics driver issue.

Without a few more details it's difficult to narrow it down. It might be worth posting on the forum with details to see if folks can help :)

  19. Prims beeing brighter/darker than others is a Gamma Correction bug.

Materials needs Gamma Correction and Gamma Correction has bugs that makes alpha/solid prims look differently sometimes, they are still trying to fix this issue.
